Subject: Traffic Concerns: Harbor Inlet @17th StGood afternoon, team – I hope this message finds you well.
When you or a member of your staff have a moment, can the below concerns from Mr. McMahon please be routed to the appropriate team(s) in TAM and the FLPD Traffic Unit? I doubt anything more can be done to alleviate the traffic in this corridor, but any insights or updates that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your response, I await the mayor response as well and need immediate action, not something that is a year away. this morning at 655am the area is a mess, we need attention now. Thanks

Dear John - I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for writing. I will be sure the mayor sees your message.
We completely understand the frustration caused by the current situation. I want to assure you that the city's transportation team is actively monitoring the traffic patterns in the area. Additionally, our first responders are fully aware of the challenges posed by the current traffic conditions and are committed to ensuring safety for all residents and commuters. The city is also in close collaboration with Broward County, which oversees the traffic signals in our region. Together, these departments are working diligently to ensure that the traffic lights are synchronized effectively to accommodate the flow of vehicles and minimize delays as much as possible. The Port Everglades Bypass Road is also in the midst of construction, and when it opens next year, it will significantly ease the congestion so commonly associated with SE 17th Street. A video of the bypass road can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLqciXH4I7E
The real-time feedback from our neighbors is invaluable. If you have any further concerns or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Your neighbor,
Zachary

________________________________________Dear Mr Mayor,
The traffic has been horrendous at our intersections due to the bridge being closed and the construction going on at Pier 66. Please have your team try to assist with new traffic patterns to avoid this issue and congestion. This can’t go on during high season as it’s a serious problem and safety concerns. The traffic lite on 17th St into harbor inlet should be a constant green allowing traffic from the beach area easier access to making left into gas station and to our homes in Harbpr Beach. Today the middle lane was blocks causing another nightmare, we need police presence to make this a safer place and move traffic around and not the gridlock we have been experiencing. I await your response.
Sincerely,
