    The city planted a flowering small Asian tree several years ago (Don't remember what exact species) in front of our house at 147 Lexington Ave., and it is not doing well, despite watering, etc. At least half the tree is dead, with stiff twig limbs and no flowers. This is the 2nd season like this, so it is time to replace it. We would like a flowering cherry tree, if possible. Even 2 neighbors have commented on the fact that it is dead. What tree options are available?
