Thank you for your patience while we investigated your request, and I do apologize for the delay in my response. After an initial field survey, we have determined that there are some modifications we can make to the traffic signal operations to assist pedestrians in crossing Whitestone Blvd at these locations, effectively giving pedestrians a head start before the light turns green for vehicles. We will be programming these changes over the next couple weeks. I would also like to try an electronic sign that has been effective at other locations in Cedar Park. These signs are custom manufactured for the City, so there will be a delay in getting them fabricated and installed, but we can go ahead and modify the signal operations in advance of installing the signs. Has this timing change been implemented for the pedestrian crossing across Whitestone, along C-Bar Ranch Trl? I have been experiencing the described issue. A three-second head start should improve pedestrian visibility, though sometimes drivers try to do a right on red anyway.

I just ran in to this issue today. Drivers not yeilding to peds trying to cross Whitestone at C-Bar ranch.
