Thank you for reporting your concerns about street safety in Alameda. We have passed your report along to the Police Department for traffic enforcement.

Your report will help inform the City of Alameda’s work to achieve our Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and severe injuries. We will use street safety reports, including yours, in combination with crash data and equity indicators to prioritize and design street safety investments. This evaluation will generally happen on an annual basis, with some exceptions for clear and pressing trends. Issues that the City deems to be immediate safety concerns will be elevated for quick action.

This has not improved at all. Other measures should be done to reduce speed like speed bumps

This need to be addressed immediately. There are missing stop signs at a children’s park. There needs to be a four way stop at each intersection along this park on Coronado, plus speed humps to prohibit speeding and running stop signs. We don’t want a child hit here and I’m afraid that’s what would occur to finally get the cities attention of this traffic concern and issue
