I live close to Spain and Juan Tabo. The bike lane replaced a two driving lanes. This happened about 10-years ago and it’s the best thing that happened. People complained, but eventually understood for the most part the need to get motorist to obey bike lanes, traffic and slow down. Spain is a much better street than it was with 4 lanes. What candelaria and morris needs is a traffic light. Good link on your complaining, it ain’t going to happen.

again Dan bike lanes aren't made to slow traffic it actually makes it more dangerous for the bicyclists. They use the lane to park cars and trailers now

Ramon, you haven’t been on a bike in awhile. I suggest you try riding a street without a bike lane. I’ve used candelaria and Spain in my commutes and it’s nice having that buffer from speeding vehicles. You’re are right, it hasn’t slowed down traffic, but it has limited the amount of traffic seeking other routes. I suggest a traffic light at chelwood and candelaria.

Dan I agree with you that we need bike lanes..... but there is already one just to the south of Candelaria?? We need a free flow of traffic on Candelaria especially when school is open

Ramon is right! With the bike path just to the south, the lane on Candelaria is a waste of a much needed lane of traffic, especially during school..

Longplay, that’s like saying “the wee is another road (Menaul) to drive down instead. By the ways, that is a bike trail and the last time I was on about last month, homeless are setting up camp east of chelwood. Dangerous place to live and bike on.
