I’m a business owner on Lark and have been actively reversing this tide of blight that the city seemingly doesn’t care about. However, and in all honestly, have any of you daily whiners in here ever taken a walk on second Avenue? Strolled casually near quail and central? Grabbed a drink with your pals north of Clinton?

Maybe stop clutching your privileged white pearls and realize you live in a diverse city and there are worse problems than the perceived terrors inside your little bubble. Maybe do something to actually help instead of just screaming into an online portal that merely exists to report potholes?

The 6th ward council member has voted against every piece of public safety legislation that has been brought in front of the council if it involves more policing or increased fines/penalties. The council member is a clear advocate for lark street’s decline. You get what you votefor.

Of course we live in a diverse city, everyone understands and respects that. The behavior of many troublemakers on lark st is simply unacceptable. This behavior should not be tolerated from ANYONE. Just because you have an addiction problem, you dont have an automatic right to break any law you want, destroy public property, pooop on someones stoop, steal packages, or terroriżee community members

I wanna see pics of the turds. I have a hard time thinking this is an actual issue. Honestly, it sounds like we need more public restrooms in the area that can easily cleaned by DGS.

Jen unlike you I own a home here and pay taxes to the the city. I've rented in Albany for 18 years and have owned a building for the last 2 years. Lark Street has mostly been this way for my entire life. It is foolish to expect it to change.
