Is this really what Oakland is going to allow? This is an accident waiting to happen. Looks like they are close to the street. If there was an accident right there it wouldn't be good. If Oakland is going to continue to allow this, than toilets need to be set up. Oakland's a disgrace . Either set up a campground where they can all stay or clean up the vacant buildings since advocates think housing is the issue. Allowing them to defecate all over is a health issue for all, what is wrong with city leaders. The more that's posted on here, the more disgusted I get. Its really time to move.

I was wondering that, does the health department even get involved with these encampments. They are a hazard to the homeless and anyone who is near. Advocates talk a lot of crap, but they won't say the truth, that these encampments are drug addicts havens. They care so much, but where are the facilities for the homeless so the rest of us don't have to breathe in their human waste. What is so hard about letting them camp on a big lot together, with sanitary facilities. Other cities do it. Fix up vacant buildings as a humanity issue, but Oakland is allowing this city to look like a third world and this issue is out of hand.
