That may help on one side; but right in front of the fields on Benham Hill Rd it is blatantly ignored.

It continues to be a problem. WHPD has set up stop signs in the road at times as well as increased MV stops near the location but there continues to be a problem. It's not "kids" driving crazy its adults mostly up to the elderly who have no regard. Hopefully temporary speed bumps may be an option.

No response from WHPD and problem is still occurring.

Another year down- same problem. This year add a few motor vehicle crashes to the mix. Problem severity rises like West Haven taxes sadly. It’s time for speed humps!

Same problem. More traffic. Zero enforcement unless it's training day for recently graduated recruits.

10 years and still outstanding!

Just under 12 years now and the problem continues. Benham Hill Road is a speedway now as well. Occasionally PD will pull someone over but it coincidentally is around the time of a recruit graduating so it’s more of a training opportunity.

The problem continues- and continues to get worse. Now add to it two lifted pickups that accelerate through it and a coupe with a muffler mimicking gunshots. Occasionally now we can add in a horn blow as someone doesn’t expect another driver not to stop. West Haven PD has been unresponsive to all emails. What has happened to West Shore?

And it continues to worsen. Speed humps may improve the situation but the city hasn’t taken an interest in this in years. Zero response to previous emails. Past phone call responses had been: reach out to public works, call PD, and we’ll look into it.
