You would think this being an election year that the road condition would be some kind of issue. However there is no way to show blame on the other person so nobody cares. I say lets get the politicians out there to fix this, not talk about it make them stand by the holes and explain to the people why they think it is not a problem, in person!

As I said about politicians, they are repaving Mercury Blvd in Hampton. I travel Mercury daily, there was not realy a problem with it. Thre was a few places that were patched but not to the extent of the tunnel exits. Also Mercury had ZERO areas that had holes like what I am talking about at the tunnels.
The fact that they are spending all kinds of money on Mercury it tells me there is some politician that has moved over the James River Bridge and travels on Mercury.
How come would they repave the entire street when there is no major problem unless some high position person has complained and therefore they have to make the road like glass and redo their travel path. I have seen this done too many times for it to be anything else!
I remember a few years back they repaved the entrance area to Micheals Woods. As soon as you passed Holloway drive and got around the curve they stopped. They went all the way down Holloway, and the roads going off it. It took 3 years for them to come back and finish Micheals Wood Drive. That tells me they covered the pathway of someones travel, just like Mercury but not the tunnels!

Did you expect the City of Hampton Taxpayers to pay for the repairs of a Federal Highway?
VDOT is responsible for this.
