Dear City of Oakland staff, since the shelter in place the traffic in our neighborhood has increased substantially, cars frequently speed and don’t obey traffic signs. Throughout the day you could see vehicles moving as fast as 60mph. This problem starts on the intersection of 56th St and Shattuck where cars turn into 56th driving towards the HWY 24 entrance on Telegraph and 56th . I kindly ask you to please consider closing the entrance of 56th from shattuck completely, this will help faster traffic move into designated streets and reduce the risk of injuries in the neighborhood. Thank you.
