This has been an on going problem and reported since the new binder was put down almost 4 years agom. My 91 year old father lives at this residence. If he were to slip and fall due to the city's lack of responsibility in fixing this it will be noted. It was promised back in 2017 it would be fixed. Let's get it done now!!!!
Hi, Just for history this goes back when the Emory Street was ground and repaved. At that time I notified Lance Hill before the final coat was put on that there was a problem. It was not addressed and putting on the final coat added to the problem. At some time in the past I was told it would be addressed when another road in the city was being ground for repaving and the grinding machine was available to regrade this portion of Emory. It hasn't happened yet. I know Steere Street will be repaved this Spring due to the water main replacement. I figure a grinding machine will be part of that and perhaps could regrade this portion of Emory Street while it is in the area. Hopefully this problem can be fixed in the Spring in conjunction with the repaving. An alternative is to have a paving company who has smaller grinding machines do the work. I know A-1 Bituminous has one. You can reach Len Stanley at 508-384-7314.
