    A senior walking her bike across Buena Vista along west crosswalk tripped on the large hole in the pavement. She hit her knee but was helped up by her companion. Incident about 11am Saturday 7May2024.
    Also during the recovery time a car going east along Buena Vista at speed yelled at us (I was also alongside my bicycle) while making a left turn onto Wilma Chan Way. Since there is a camera on Buena Vista Ave perhaps you can identify the car and send a reminder note that pedestrians in a crosswalk are not there as targets for automobiles.

    Vehicle’s speed and pass unsafely. This is a school zone! Please put in more signs. Speed bumps, police giving tickets, or better yet redesign the street with a protected bike lane. I’ve been hit and have seen many near-misses and accidents. Do something.

    The road was sinking here and the city came to “fix” by putting an asphalt patch over the sinking road. The made things worse. It’s created a big unmarked hump. When cars and trucks speed over this unmarked hump it causes violent shaking like an earthquake to homes surrounding it. It’s caused additional cracks to the side walk and street. Also when cars speed by the crumpling asphalt patch has loosened rocks which fly up hittting cars that are parked there and on one occasion a passing bike rider. Please fix the street correctly. Thanks so much. Or have police here to ticket those who speed over it.

    I fell walking here yesterday when the vine got tangled around my ankle and I sprained my wrist. There is not room for one person to walk through here and I have seen people with strollers , dogs etc have to go in the street to pass.

    The Carnegie library building, which is across the street from City Hall is a mess and has garbage dumped on the porch. The building is a historic landmark but the maintenance is horrible. It’s time for a good cleanup of the exterior including removal of garbage.

    The pandemic is over! Why are these people allowed to block these public streets?! It causes traffic during peak times of the day. And this evidently proves misuse/abuse of usage for outdoor basketball personal use! All of these signs need to be removed. Kids and people are riding their bikes speeding on these streets when these signs are blocking the public streets! City of Alameda needs to do better!
