  • 392-398 Sherman Ave New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Dixwell
  • 2-22 Goffe Terrace New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver Hills
Dead animal in street: Goffe Terrace, block between Crescent and Winthrop Streets
  • 185 Goffe Street New Haven, Connecticut - Dixwell
Every tree outside the construction site for the new Mayo School is tagged to be cut down. All the trees that were on the site have already been cut down. While some of the street trees are in poor shape--some from destructive UI pruning--not all are. Is there *any* plan to re-plant? There already are stumps and missing trees all along Goffe Street. Ward 28 is starting to look like proof of what a national study has shown: poorer neighborhoods have fewer trees than wealthier ones.
  • 51 Prospect Street (All Of Prospect Between Grove And Edwards) New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown
Unwatered, dead and dying young trees
  • Street Sweeping Arquivado
Winthrop Street Goffe Terrace, New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver Hills

Public Works!! The block of Goffe Terrace between Carmel and Winthrop was not swept today. The blocks of Winthrop between Goffe Terrace and Glen Road were not swept today.

This is the *one time* that was posted for sweeping. An entire neighborhood moved cars. Now everyone is parked on the unswept side of the street in piles of leaves, so that the other side can be done!

  • Crescent And Fournier New Haven, Connecticut - Newhallville
Publicly maintained trash container on the corner of Crescent and Fournier Streets is overflowing; and has been for more than week.
  • Prospect And Sachem New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
The last two large trees remaining on the long stretch of Prospect Street where Yale plans to build the new colleges are marked for removal. These are both mature oaks; the one near the corner of Sachem is particularly grand. What gives? There is blocks of available frontage for equipment, etc. (This does not seem to have been posted prominently by the city--only noticed even by those who pass by often once all the other trees were cut down.)
  • Glen And Winthrop Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver Hills
Stop sign down (lying in tree lawn)--Glen at Winthrop, near the Isadore L. Wexler Memorial triangle park.
  • Corner Of Prospect And Edwards Streets New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
Prospect and Edwards traffic light/pedestrian signal: The audible signal for the visually impaired is stuck in the "ON" (beeping) mode. It's been going on for hours. Not only is this unsafe for the visually impaired, it's unbearable to listen to it.
  • Crescent St And Moreland Rd New Haven, CT - Dixwell
Stop sign on Moreland Rd. at the corner of Crescent St. missing.
