Descrição
Our block has been repaved and now the north side curb is at or below street grade. The past several storms have flooded the parkway grass and portions of the sidewalk. This will be a very problematic for snowplowing this coming winter. Without the curbstones to guide the snowplow blades and the storm water and snow melt we are in for BIG problems. Please reset the curb height ASAP. Note the south curb is still viable.

First step is to have Public Works inspect the location and make a determination about the sidewalk. If there is a city factor impacting the sidewalk's condition (ie. tree) then the city is responsible for grinding/repair. If damage is caused by wear/tear/neglect and would pose a safety hazard, we at Public Works will try to alleviate the hazard by patching it and then deem a full repair is the "resident's responsibility".
In some cases, if area being impacted is severe and involves more than one address, area can be reviewed by the Resource Allocation Committee for a major project. Engineering would oversee new sidewalk replacements.
We at Public Works will always work with property owners to explore how best to get the work done.

This photo shows the typical car parked on the grass because there is no curb to stop the car.
All of the grass along Cold Spring is damaged with tire ruts.
This has to be fixed soon.

Cars and trucks still parking off road bea cause there are no curbs. The area also floods during a rainstorm because there are no curbs to channel the water.
