The residents have cut their grass around the trash and debris. The trash is now hidden below the 3ft high weeds. The code enforcement and this website in Lansing is useless! If they would actually fine residents maybe they would raise enough funds to cover cost for more code enforcement officers. The city has enough city maintenance workers to do the work. I agree with the other comment that if the City of Lansing continues done this path It will be like Detroit with illegal dumping and residents that don't maintain their properties. The City of Lansing does not even maintain their own property at the corner of Butler and Kalamazoo. The State of Michigan workers see over 8 inch high weeds everyday. This does not set a good example of a clean urban city.

There is still weeds over 3 feet high. Inside the weeds is trash and debris. You will not be able to see the trash until the fall. It is eyesore to look out your window to see trash and weed over growth. Why doesn't the code compliance raise their fees to have more code enforcement officers. The city could make money off of people that don't take of their property. East Lansing has a better code enforcement and housing codes.
