Mill point park is a total mess! There is trash, and debris everywhere. It looks awful. The stage is falling apart and needs to be repaired or replaced. How could the city let it get in this condition?

I really hope that you posted this before understanding what happened Friday evening. There was a tornado that went through this part of the City. It was a class EF1 with winds at over 95MPH. I heard that a lot of people spent their time to make sure that the festival that was happening started in getting the cleanup process started. After tornadoes hit an area it will take months if not YEARS to correct the damage it was done. This damage was not expected and will take some time to fix. I am sure like all situations the City would appreciate the volunteers time when people are able to give it. Without the volunteers and festival staff this event would not have continued and you more than likely would not have been down there to even look at this site. I remember being down at this location for many years ago. I am also guessing that someone has determined this is still safe and still does the job it was built for.
Please review the link about the amount of damage that was done in the City.

I would like to take the time to say thank you to city staff and event staff in getting the process started to keep the event SAFE for everyone. I do understand that it will take time.
