6/14/2013 - Thanks so much for your communication with the City of Richmond government. The sidewalk maintenance has and tentative schedule to be completed by 4/28/2017. SeeClickFix is setup for quick fixes in the City of Richmond that can take place more immediately once entered onto SeeClickFix. Please understand that sidewalk maintenance most times will take more than one year for maintenance to take place once the safety inspection is executed. This is due to the size of the crew and the volume of tickets that must be prioritized and worked on. You service order is still open in our CRS work order system. We ask that citizens become accustomed to placing sidewalk requests onto the Citizens Request System (CRS):
http://eservices.ci.richmond.va.us/applications/citizensrequest/frmNewEntryType.asp
to keep an eye on the progress of the CRS ticket for sidewalk maintenance. Also you are able to call the Richmond Customer Care Center at 646-7000 with the request number (20020887638) so that updates and follow through can take place.

6/17/2013 - Thanks so very much for your communication - I will go ahead and double check the temp/safety repair for this location - the actual permanent repair schedule (20020887638) is based upon size of the crew and the volume of tickets that must be prioritized in relation to each other and then worked - the sidewalk maintenance plan for this location is for permanent execution to tentatively take place by 4/28/2017- permanent repair could also happen before this pending date - again, I am double checking temp/safety patching with this Mgmt team

This afternoon I noted that City crew have dismantled a portion of the brick sidewalk just 20 feet from the heavily damaged concrete sidewalk I reported back in June. I hope that efforts will be made to coordinate repairs of these very proximate sections of sidewalk in an effort to maximize cost savings and minimize inconvenience to residents. Thanks.
P. S. The City crew has left the bricks from today's work in stacked two piles. This is not advisable given the heavy foot traffic along N. Plum St., especially after the nearby bars close. Although the pile is very neatly stacked, leaving the bricks here will likely lead to damage to private (car and house windows) and public (lights) property when passersby use the bricks as projectiles.
