Maybe we should try things like this in other neighborhoods... with LCIs approval of course!

There are areas for art installations and playgrounds. And if there are kids in the neighborhood and they want hopscotch, use CHALK. I’m sorry but THIS is not cute. It is vandalism, and I like our little area to look clean. But by all means if you guys want to do hopscotch, awesome, just do it in chalk. If I have enough to drink I might do it with you lol. Please let’s keep our neighborhood clean ✌🏼

Sorry, still don’t see the problem. I don’t think the city neighborhoods should be “sterile”. That’s what gated communities are for. If there was profanity or hatefulness, I would object but this invites innocent fun. Just my opinion...

Are you sure it's spray paint and not spray chalk? It's a thing and I've seen a few other hopscotch boards made with spray chalk around town over the past year.

Neighbor9 ... listen I’m not trying to be a jerk, I have kids,who used chalk often on our driveway to draw hopscotch. Maybe it’s a generation thing(I’m 40) but you don’t just go around spray painting things on sidewalks... hopscotch or not. It is a professional neighborhood along with bars and restaurants.... and I have been there for 18 years, no little kids are going to play hopscotch on that street corner, and if their parents let them , than that is a concern. There are multiple business owners in the neighborhood that should be taken into consideration when doing something like this. It looks awful. If my professional clients feel that the area is going down hill they may not want or feel safe coming to my shop anymore. So if my business suffers because you think “so,it’s just hopscotch “ do you think that’s fair? It’s just wrong period, and once again why the hell do people think it’s ok to just spray paint the sidewalk? That’s abs

I highly doubt that someone is going to think the neighborhood is going downhill because of a hopscotch board on the sidewalk. For all you know one the bars or other businesses did it. There are way bigger misconceptions about New Haven that would stop someone from coming to your business, I can guarantee this is not one.

Once again it MUST be a generation thing. You don’t just spray paint ANYTHING on the sidewalks because you feel like it. It is a community, and neighboring businesses should be consulted. It looks awful, whoever the “artist “ is. Our neighborhood should look neat and clean. I have been here for a very long time, I love it and really like all of our neighbors. This is just wrong

oh i saw the picture now, sorry. yes, it does look awful. but still. it’s just hopscotch. not real graffiti. and for all you know, 40 year olds are who painted this. i actually do agree with you on the “you don’t just do it because you feel like it” and in spraypaint at that, but it’s also just something lighthearted and not everything needs to be so sour and taken so seriously.
