At 1710 S. 15th Street is a victim of loitering everyday.
Access to her home is blocked by groups of young black males who sit on her step and chill. It is the nearest home with an awning for shade and a corner step to hide what they are doing. Everyday when I walk past her home after work I would see these guys just OWN this home. She is stuck in her home and left to clean up after all the trash they leave behind once they leave. She's a little old lady and it's sad to see these thugs use her property as a place to cool off after a hot day playing basketball. Empty blunt guts and beer containings are left in their wake without regard for her home.
They tagged her air conditioner unit to make their turf.

Yesterday 7/10/2012 on the way to picking the Philly Carshare I use, a large group was gathered at this poor old lady's step again when there is a LARGE CITY PAID FOR PLAYGROUND directly across the street. It was at 4:22pm again when I called 911 for them to just leave before the police get there. Even when the police do drive by, they don't even get out of the car. They just yell from the car window for them to move. The across the street and go back to the CITY PAID FOR PARK BENCH under the CITY PAID FOR tree for shade.
This old lady is trapped in her home every day left to clean up after these stupid kids. They hoot and holler at every women that walks by.

Yesterday around 6:30pm they were all on this ladies step. About 8 guys just hanging on this old ladies home. She comes home from work to this group of young black teens. They use this step to smoke weed. She even left a plastic bag hanging on her metal gate so they can use, but most of the litter ends up on her sidewalk.

As one rolls the blunt, many join everyday to pass the blunt once it's lit. EVERYDAY at 4:20pm!
The LIFE! Children across the playground learn to accept this as the normal.
