    I am a tenant in 407 Fairmount Ave in Oakland. My unit building plumbing is not working properly. I have contacted my building manager, leasing office and landlord and have been getting the run around. The issue has been persistent since I moved in May 2023.

    Food from apartments above have been getting stuck and coming up in my tub every few months. I have asked my landlord about fixing the issue, the plumber they hired called and told me nothing could be done.
    My building manager has been responsive but there is only so much that he can do because he has to refer to the leasing company for issues that can’t be solved by him.

    I reached out in March 2024 to get my rent reduced or receive a rental credit and to see what permanent solutions can be made but Jon Shahoian (building owner) called me once and never called back again. I also received a very unpleasant email from another employee named Melanie Robinson who told me that there was nothing they could do even though she is responsible for fixing maintenance issues.

    In addition to these issues, shelves in my fridge have been broken for months and an electric socket is also not working. I have been waiting for months to these things fixed but no one has come.

    I am just concerned because the issue keeps happening and nothing has been done and the responses that I have been getting are extremely rude. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Mattress and box spring with a pile of garbage needs to be picked up . A homeless women around the area has returned is now laying on the mattress . She just made a huge mess took out the trash bags from the bins and knocked them over . She’s known to make a mess every where around in this area . The city needs to do something either cameras with bright lights installed to see who’s dumping the garbage or do cleaning often in the area. The person who dumped the mattress lives at 1733 seminary ave drives a white van and a grey rav 4 . They have cameras so they can see who the person is they need to get fined . Please have this picked up by the city ASAP we are tired of all the mess it’s this same area all the time thank you
