Description
The sidewalks down S. Cherry st in between Cumberland Ave and W Cary St are very dangerous. Numerous people including myself have fallen because of the sidewalks. Bricks are missing the tree roots are making the sidewalk uneven and difficult to walk on. Also these sidewalks are difficult for handicap persons to access my house at 139 S. Cherry.

Fixing the sidewalks and alleys in Oregon Hill was one of the many requests the Oregon Hill Neighborhood Association (OHNA) gave Mayor Jones during his walk through the neighborhood last year. Perhaps we need to invite him back to see the progress .... or rather lack of ...... a year later.
OHNA meets the 4th Thursday of each month in the library at the William Byrd Community House - no fees to join.

12/19/2012 Thanks so much for your communication with Richmond City government. This location was inspected by Richmond Sidewalk Management Team on 6/17/2011 and it was determined an area of 200ft x 7ft will need repair for the entire block. This is larger in scope that Sidewalk Team handles so this location has been referred to Richmond Engineering for the CIP Team to handle.
