I think that issue is everywhere. South end of 15th Ave. East is a test track for everything from imports to motorcycles and big diesels. Rounding the corner from or onto Marquis turns many people into John Force for some reason!
I wish these people would take a moment to think, what would the rest of my life look like if some child stepped out onto the road while I was driving like an idiot? What would I feel like if it was my child, sibling, etc. that got hit and injured/killed just because someone wanted 4 or 5 seconds of adrenaline? If you want to drive like that, race tracks usually always have street shootouts where you can bring whatever you want and run it down the track. Go do it there please, not on the streets!
wow spend an hour driving all the way to saskatoon just for 4-5 seconds of adrenaline?
Iwould mention building a track closer to pa, but sadly we will probably see a second bridge long before we ever get a track here..
and i drove that corner at 15th and marquis and i havent seen any wicked black marks on the pavement from a John Force style burnout.
Some days, I wish the cops would be where I am at that second, especially when a punk passes me while I am going the going the speed limit. I don't mind getting passed, but not on a street that doesn't allow it! I have also been passed on 28th on the inside lane while I was doing the speed limit. Kids driving their parent's cars or just some spoiled rotten kids, who love to show off to their peers. I swear one kid was doing 100 km. on a 50 km speed limit st. on 28th. They do this on Muzzy Dr. as well, on 28th. and on 15th. between Rona east. When we do see the cops, everything is gone and done, almost like it seems they know when they patrol. I think it is time we started using speed bumps, they don't have to be huge, just enough to slow you down, every 100 meters. Put them on streets where speeding is rampant, like school zones. Young drivers need to start showing respect for other drivers. Having a driver's license is a privelege, use it wisely and drive safe. What urks me is, they speed, they we catch up with them in less than a minute at the stop lights, so why speed? Maybe a probationary period for young drivers should be extended to 2 - 3 years?
