The city came out a few weeks ago and added a small amount of asphalt but the hazard remains and I continued to see people trip over it. One side of the sidewalk is lifted 6 inches. Please fix before more people get hurt.

The damage by city trees continues to worsen. Someone is out grinding today but no amount of grinding will make the worst portion of this sidewalk safe. This issue was posted on SeeClickFix many years ago and then mysteriously closed for no reason. I had been calling the city years before that after two separate accidents happened related to the damage by city trees. Please please please fix.

This needs fixing before someone else gets hurt.

I have walked on this sidewalk many evenings in the dark walking my dog and have tripped almost every time. I’m afraid l’ll break my ankle. Please replace this section of sidewalk for the safety of the community.

People walk, and children ride bikes, in this neighborhood regularly. This particular section of the sidewalk is very dangerous. It's so surprising what is considered a fix to the city. It is clear that there are still major tripping hazards. Please replace this stretch of sidewalk before there is serious injury.

This curb is one of the worst I have ever seen and people trip there every day. Please fix it! This is so dangerous! We don’t want any more people to get hurt!

This section co to use to worsen as the city tree lifts the sidewalk even more. The patches are now all lifted. Please fix for real.

The city has thankfully started repairing some of our damaged sidewalks. This is clearly still a high priority since people have already gotten hurt. Our district council woman will be joining our board meeting this week - I will definitely bring this up.

In the two years since I posted this issue and the 13 years since I began complaining to the city about this particular issue, it has only gotten worse. You can see that it’s even lifted an inch from the patch that was added by the city last year. I realize they have done a lot of work grinding the small trip hazards in the area but these really bad ones remain. I have an elderly friend who is scared to visit my house for fear of tripping here. It can’t wait any longer.

This is the path any guest or postal worker has to travel to our house.

His image shows the actual root from the city’s tree that is lifting the sidewalk continually over time. You can see where we’ve tried to cut it ourselves but full removal and replacement is the only real remedy.

My kid just tripped and fell on this patch of sidewalk over the weekend. He skinned up his knees pretty badly - I shudder to think what would have happened if he had been an elderly person. PLEASE ATTEND TO THESE SIDEWALKS BEFORE MORE PEOPLE GET HURT. The city can't continue to ignore this issue as the hole deepens and the edges lift even more.
